Security is extremely tight within the arena, and those without a stub may be escorted out of the arena. The variety of food offered at the Staples Center is second to none. Camacho’s Cantina offers great southern California Mexican fare. Big Dawgs offers gourmet hot dogs piled high with toppings. You should try at least one Junkyard Dog.
It’s messy but worth it. California Pizza Kitchen offers pizza and tasty Asian and Italian inspired dishes. This is also one of the few arenas with a full- service—and good!—sushi bar. Like most stadiums, alcohol comes at a premium, but the Staples Center makes up for their prices with a variety of domestic, import, and microbrew beers. The Clippers in- game experience differs from that of the Lakers.
Where the Lakers are all about the glitz and glamour of LA and putting on an event, the Clippers are more fan- friendly. Perhaps this is why the Clippers’ fans are devoted even while their team struggles. The Clippers currently have no mascot, but they make up for it with enthusiasm of their fans and their top- notch dance teams.
The Clipper Spirit performs a variety of routines during the game, and the Fast Break Crew performs trick filled break dance routines to keep the crowd up and on their feet during the breaks in the action. An in- house DJ supplies the music for the dance routines. The fans are what truly separate a Clippers game from a Lakers game. Maybe it’s the comparatively low- price. Clippers game versus a Lakers game, but the fans truly embrace this team. The cheer every bucket, boo every bad call, and rarely leave their seats before the final buzzer.
